Red 1 (quart) by CTI Pro's Choice

Synthetic food dyes can remain after ordinary carpet cleaning and may become harder to remove when treated with the wrong chemistry. Pro's Choice Red 1 is a ready-to-use dye remover for stains such as Kool-Aid, fruit punch, and Gatorade on wet-cleanable synthetic fibers.

• Targets synthetic food dyes: Red 1 is formulated for colored drink and food stains that regular spotters may leave behind.
• Works without mixing two parts: The ready-to-use formula can be applied directly to the stained fibers.
• Provides a clear working window: Allow 4-8 minutes for the color to change, then extraction-rinse the treated area.
• Can be heat-activated when necessary: Difficult stains may respond to carefully controlled steam heat after the standard treatment has been tried.

Extraction-clean the area first and blot it as dry as possible. Apply Red 1 to the stained fibers, allow 4-8 minutes of dwell time, and rinse thoroughly by hot water extraction.

If color remains, reapply Red 1, cover the spot with a wet white terry towel, and use a steam iron at its lowest steam setting for no more than 5 seconds at a time. Check continuously for color loss or fiber distortion, stop immediately if either occurs, and extraction-rinse after treatment. Do not perform more than two heat treatments. Test first in an inconspicuous area.
