The 4-inch Aluminum Backplate for Diamond Abrasives uses a 5/8"-11 thread pattern to mount directly onto standard hand-held angle grinders and wet polishers. It pairs a rigid, lightweight machined aluminum body with a hook-and-loop face to enable quick pad changes. The backplate dissipates heat faster than plastic backers and resists flex during stone, tile, and concrete edge profiling.
