How to handle ice melt removal

When the white stuff piles up outside the grunge from ice melt walks into the building. Magnesium chloride is great for melting snow and ice, but it's horrible for carpet. The salt / chloride content loads up in the carpet and attracts soil. The carpet traffic lanes quickly become grungy and look terrible.
